Broker diversification: helping your self-employed clients

For mortgage and finance brokers: Paul Stone on using your existing client base to find self-employed clients with an urgent business-funding need, such as creditors, an overdue tax debt, expansion or buying out a competitor.

This video is for mortgage and finance brokers, not for borrowers.

Paul's suggestion, in four steps

  1. Go through your existing client database and look at who is in it, beyond their home loan.
  2. Email those clients with solutions you may not have raised with them before.
  3. Follow up with a phone call about what else you could help with.
  4. Ask self-employed clients whether anything has come up that needs funds urgently: paying creditors, an overdue tax debt, expanding, or buying out a competitor.

Those are the scenarios HomeSec funds against property. For brokers: fast second mortgages, private business loans, the brokerage calculator and becoming a HomeSec partner.

There's a lot of uncertainty around at the moment, and I've been speaking with a lot of brokers who are really concerned about their future. My advice has been, rather than letting others determine your future, take the bull by the horns and make your own future. By this, I mean it's time to diversify. It's time to use that client database and examine who's in it and how you can help them in other ways other than just their home loan.

So email your clients with new solutions that you may not have raised with them before, then follow up with a phone call and have the discussion on what else you may be able to assist them with. If you have any self-employed clients, ask them if there's been anything happening at the moment where they may have an urgent need for funds. It could be to pay creditors or pay an overdue tax debt, or maybe they're thinking of expanding or buying out a competitor.

If any of those situations come up, that's where HomeSec Business Finance can help brokers help their clients by providing urgent business funding in just 24 hours. So rather than allowing others to create an uncertain future for you, be the broker with the solutions and create your own future. To make a start, it's as simple as contacting HomeSec Business Finance today on 1300 93 83 87, or go to homesecbrokersupport.com.au.
